Knee surgery

Well it's done. The doc said he has never seen a shredded meniscus before but that's what i had. they put a sutcher through the meniscus and hopes it will heal together. so I can't put weight on it for a month which mean crutches yeaah not! so it's still up in the air for now. here a some of the pic from my adventure. The side by side pic is a normal meniscus on the left and mine on the right. the pic of three is the repair and the rest are self explanatory

My knee

Today i found out i need surgery on my knee. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I'll be happy to be my old self and doing all the things i love.

According to the doc they will make two cuts in the front of my knee, clean up the tear, and go from there. He told me it's rare that people get a tear where mine is and he won't know the extent until he goes in. It should take six weeks to heal and i should be good as new. I'll put up pics of my adventure.

Fun

I finally loaded some pics to my computer and found one of my nephew Lukas. He is the funniest kid and I have a blast everytime he's around. In this pic he is flying.

Update

Well this is how things are going.

My wife and I have been going through the fertility thing for a long time. We finally decided to take a break. We are in the process of trying to save a huge amount of money for in vitro.

Then I've been having trouble with my knee. I went to the doc and he thinks I have a tear in my meniscus. I find out Tues if it will require surgery. We'll see what happens.

Christmas

I haven't blogged for a while cause I've been busy. Well I'm home enjoying the company of my nieces. We've had a fun night we watched movies and ate popcorn. Spending time with them has made me want kids even more than ever.

Well it's the holidays the time of year when we all go crazy. But before we start worrying about who were buying what and can we pay for all this? Remember there are families who barely have anything if anything at all. People are brought into our lives for a number of reasons and I believe gGod puts us together. Some people need a shoulder to cry on, some need support and some need a family.

So take time and think about the people in your life and what god has laid on your heart. Then go do it. So before you go get all stressed out remember how blessed we truly are. Put aside all the gifts and all the hoopla. Then take a deep breath and ask yourself "What's Christmas really about?"

In my eyes Christmas is a reminder of how we should live our lives everyday. So God bless you and yours.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I was just thinking

Why is it that parents have such a hard time teaching their children about real life lessons?

The reason I ask is that I work with young men and women everyday all day. Today i had a long talk with one of my youth about how a relationship works. Its sad really the youth are paying the price for the mistakes of their parents.

Parents you have more influence on your kids than you think. Here are some things you can do to prevent your child from getting in trouble.

Don't be afraid to tell your kids the truth about things. If you don't talk to them someone else will.

Set boundaries for your kids they need them.

Kids need parents more than they need a friend. I see to many parents who want to be a friend more than a parent. This is the biggest mistake I see. They're to afraid to say no, because there worried their child will be mad at them.

Teach them the rewards of working hard and earning what they get. I see so many kids that are lazy and commit crimes because they don't want to work for what they have.

Our children our a reflection of us. Everything they learn they learn from us.

Let me explain a little more I work at a Youth corrections facility. I work with the "worst of the worst" or that's what they say. I've never believed that crap. These are kids who have made bad choices. I see a side of them that most people don't. I get to see the hand life dealt them and most of the time it starts with the parents. It bothers me so much that these people get a beautiful gift such as a child and take it for granted. The part that pisses me off is that it takes these kids getting locked up to feel safe and be themselves.

It's my job to fix them.
Here's the cool part, they're not broken they're normal kids.
Here's the secret to what i do to fix them. I spend time with them, I listen, I do homework with them, I watch movies with them and here's the biggest one I TALK to them.

So parents please spend time with your kids and don't take them for granted. Because some of us have to work harder at becoming parents than most.

My Wife

There are a lot of things I can say about my wife, but where to start?

My Wife is the most understanding, loving, person I've ever known. She tells me the truth if I want to hear it or not. To tell the truth i probably wouldn't be able to do anything without her. She does so much for me and I'm not the best at telling her. I want the world to know that she's the reason I can be myself around anyone. She supports even my dumbest Ideas.

Thanks babe for all you do!!

So guys make sure you tell your wives how much they mean to you everyday. Cause if you really think about it. Who are we without them?
